About Me

Brief summary of my experience, skill and mindset, which hopefully backs me up.

Who I am

👋 Hello, I’m Anamol. I’m a UX Specialist.

I combine empirical evidence, in-depth research, and analytical insights while uncovering nuances within and across user touchpoints in the customer journey lifecycle. I research, design, and develop solutions while aiming to automate redundancies, reduce waste within processes and amplify impact.

In addition to UX and digital product design, I’ve been a digital creative for many years with multi-domain crossovers, keeping my brain ticking and involved in sales, branding, marketing, copywriting, and business operations.

I’ve worked with clients worldwide, including SNOW® Teeth Whitening and Lakers Nation, each with millions of followers. One of my creative projects—an Instagram effect based on the popular TV show ‘Money Heist’—stands out as the most popular Money Heist effect on Instagram, used by millions of users.

In my downtime, I enjoy exploring productivity, collaboration, and automation tools, mostly centred around my own operational efficiency, and I’m often product-hunting for ones that make my workflow better and faster.

I am also a Baymard Certified UX Professional (one of only 37 in the UK) and I have an MSc in User Experience Engineering from Goldsmiths, University of London.

A bit more about me below.

Appeared on National TV, thrice: I appeared on Idea Studio Nepal, a Shark Tank inspired reality TV show. My friend Pranay and I applied as a team and got selected as one of 26 ideators in Season One. I pitched my idea on the audition round, had an interview while in the incubation center and the final presentation with Pranay. The show wasn’t designed for deal/no-deal type of funding in the earlier seasons but for an opportunity to work at their incubation center.

Tools I love

How I think

Frameworks can be overrated, outdated, and stagnant; it is Principles that matter more. Frameworks are there to assist principles while principles can help as well as challenge both. I use critical thinking and logical reasoning using first principles as both of these are foundational prerequisites in dissecting any idea, opinion and argument.

Not easy to succeed at all times as we're all humans with our emotion and spontaneity driving most of our days. But I do try to try my best to use these tools to make this mindset more instinctual, given that spontaneity and muscle memory can be refined with experience.

Critical Thinking

Evidence → Divergent → Assumptions

Logical Reasoning

Arguments → Convergent → Conclusion

One last thing…

If you read it through to this point in the scroll-depth, you’re likely a 1-percenter for this webpage.

Only a tiny minority of people scroll all the way to the bottom on any given webpage.

There are many guidelines and research conducted on “About” pages. This post from NNGroup is an interesting one where they observed 70 users and came up with 85 guidelines for About pages.

That’s a lot of guidelines.

But to summarise, it all boils down to whether our audience found what they were looking for or not.

So, did you find what you were looking for in this About page?
