Things about testimonials…

We know testimonials make a difference.

9 out of 10 people believe customer feedback more than what a business says about itself.

I did some digging and found an interesting research that compared informational messages with testimonials, the former likely comparable to self-proclaiming greatness businesses tout.

It concluded that informational messages are more effective through text delivery while testimonials are more persuasive through audio than text.

It suggested that the effectiveness depends on how involved or motivated people are on the subject. If people are less interested, testimonials are more effective than informational messages, and it’s even more impactful if you deliver it with audio. Interesting, right?

And given that recruiters and hiring managers take 5 seconds with no interest (pun intended 😁) to go through our website, it is probably a good idea to have audio testimonials from now on.
